Description
This Celestron 22 pound counterweight lets you balance extra-heavy accessory loads (such as a large photoguide refractor, accessory dovetail, mounting rings, and a camera) on a Celestron telescope mounted on a heavy duty Celestron CGE Pro or CGEM DX computerized go-to equatorial mount. It will also let you install and balance a heavy non-Celestron scope on a Celestron CGE Pro or CGEM DX mount (which come with only one 22 pound counterweight as standard equipment when a mount is bought alone). A hand-tighten knob holds the counterweight in place on each mount’s 1.25″ diameter declination shaft. It will not work with the 0.75″ counterweight shaft standard CGEM mount, which uses 11 pound counterweight #1725 or 17 pound counterweight #1727.
