Astrozap Light Shroud for 8″ Meade LightBridge Truss-Tube Dobsonian

Description

AstroZap Light Shroud for 8″ Meade LightBridge Truss Dobsonian

Open truss-tube telescopes like the 8″ Meade LightBridge offer lightweight portabilitybut they also leave your optical path exposed to stray light, wind-blown dust, and even dew. The AstroZap Light Shroud solves all three problems in one elegant, lightweight package, giving your Dobsonian the contrast-enhancing power of a closed tube without sacrificing transportability.

Crafted from a breathable, stretchable nylon fabric, this shroud hugs your LightBridges truss section to block ambient light from streetlamps, neighbors windows, or even the Moon. The material is moisture-resistant, allowing air to circulate freely to prevent dew buildup while still shielding your optics from glare and dust.

Elastic-sewn ends grip both the upper and lower OTA rings for a secure, sag-free fit, even when your scope is tilted to high altitude. The entire shroud folds down flat, making it easy to toss in your observing bag without adding bulk or weight.

Features:

• Designed for the 8″ Meade LightBridge truss-tube Dobsonian

• Breathable nylon fabric blocks stray light and resists moisture

• Improves contrast and protects optics from debris and light pollution

• Elastic hems keep the shroud tight and secureno drooping into the light path

• Double-stitched construction for long-lasting field durability

• Packs flat for easy storage and travel

Observing Tip:

Even with a smaller Dob like the 8″ LightBridge, a light shroud makes a noticeable difference when observing faint fuzzies like galaxies and planetary nebulae. Blocking ambient light preserves your night vision, and with less contrast-robbing glare, youll see more subtle detail and darker sky backgrounds.
