Description
This diamond flute carbide router features a 0.0197″ (0.50mm) cutting diameter, .160″ LOC, 1-1/2″ overall length, and a 1/8″ shank. This tool features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, providing added surface hardness and reduced friction during cutting.
The diamond flute geometry uses a fine, multi-edge cutting pattern that is gentler on brittle and fracture-prone materials, helping reduce chipping, delamination, and edge damage during cutting.
This router is best suited for FR-4, G10, fiberglass, phenolic laminates, carbon fiber, and other abrasive composites, where maintaining clean edges and consistent performance is essential. For carbon fiber and highly abrasive materials, diamond-coated (PCD) routers are recommended for extended tool life and reduced edge wear.
The up-cut design efficiently evacuates chips while helping improve bottom-edge cut quality.
This tool features a fish tail tip, ideal for delicate entry into brittle or layered materials, helping reduce chipping and delamination at the surface.
