Description

AstroZap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield for Celestron NexStar 5SE 5″ SCT

Small, mighty, and dew-pronethats the story of the Celestron NexStar 5SE. Its compact size makes it a favorite for grab-and-go observers, but its front corrector plate still attracts moisture like any SCT. Thats where the AstroZap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield comes in. This smart, dual-purpose accessory provides both passive and active dew protection in one streamlined wraparound design, custom-fit for your 5″ NexStar.

The shield is built from flexible black ABS plastic with a velvet-lined interior to absorb stray light and reduce thermal radiation. That alone helps slow the onset of dew and improves contrast at the eyepiece. But built into the body is a low-wattage heating elementsimply plug the attached RCA jack into your existing dew controller (sold separately), and the shield will gently warm your corrector to stay ahead of the dew point.

Installation is quick and secure thanks to a full-length Velcro fastening strip, and the lightweight design wont throw off your balance or tracking. Whether you’re observing planets, double stars, or lunar detail, this Flexi-Heat shield keeps your scope performing at its peak all night long.
