Description

AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield For Celestron 8″ SCT (Black Plastic, One Notch for German Equatorial Mounts)

Simple, Effective Dew Control for Your Celestron 8-Inch GEM Setup

The AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield for Celestron 8″ Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes is a lightweight and practical way to reduce dew buildup and improve image contrast. This version is specially designed for OTAs mounted on German Equatorial Mounts (GEMs), featuring a single notch to clear the bottom dovetail mounting rail.

Made from rugged black ABS plastic and lined with light-absorbing felt, the shield wraps snugly around the front of your OTA to slow radiative cooling and block stray light from streetlamps, porches, or car headlights. The Velcro-style closure provides a secure fit that’s easy to adjust, even in the dark, and the flexible material means it stores flat or rolls up for travel.

If you use your 8″ SCT on an AVX, CGEM, or similar GEM, this dew shield is an ideal match.
