Description
This diamond flute carbide router features a 0.0312″ (1/32″) cutting diameter, .250″ LOC, 1-1/2″ overall length, and a 1/8″ shank. This tool is titanium nitride (TiN) coated for reduced friction and improved wear resistance.
The diamond flute geometry uses a fine, multi-edge cutting pattern that is gentler on brittle and fracture-prone materials, helping reduce chipping, delamination, and edge damage during cutting.
This router is best suited for FR-4, G10, fiberglass, phenolic laminates, carbon fiber, and other abrasive composites, where maintaining clean edges and consistent performance is critical. For highly abrasive materials, diamond-coated (PCD) routers are recommended for extended tool life.
The down-cut design pushes material downward, helping improve top-edge surface quality and reduce lifting or fraying on laminated materials.
This tool features a fish tail tip, ideal for controlled entry into brittle or layered materials, helping reduce chipping and delamination at the surface.
