Description
Embrace the shadows and the natural world’s intriguing blend of beauty and the macabre with Night Flutter, a 70 x 70 traditionally pieced tribute to the enigmatic Deaths-Head Hawkmoth. This striking design celebrates one of natures most mysterious creatures, seamlessly blending realistic moth markings with mystical star motifs to create a centerpiece that feels both grounded and celestial. While the pattern naturally leans toward a moody, seasonal Halloween aesthetic, it is intended for year-round display by those who find magic in the dark and the divine. This pattern is a must-make for “witchy” quilters and collectors of the macabre who want to bring a touch of the mystic into their home decor. The large-scale layout allows the intricate details of the moth to take center stage, making it as much a piece of textile art as it is a cozy quilt. Whether you choose a high-contrast palette to highlight the iconic skull-like markings or a softer, tonal range for a subtle woodland feel, Night Flutter invites you to explore the darker side of your fabric stash and create something truly spellbinding.
