This physically short (3.1″) Astro-Tech 2x achromatic Barlow is an inexpensive way to cleanly double the power of any 1.25″ eyepiece in your collection . . .The Astro-Tech AT2XB achromatic 2x Barlow is physically quite short at 3.1″ in length. This allows it to be used in the star diagonal of catadioptric and refractor telescopes to keep the eyepiece height comfortably low, as well as being used in reflector focusers.
By doubling the power of each eyepiece it is used with, this Astro-Tech Barlow effectively doubles the number of 1.25″ eyepieces in your collection. It uses a two-element, fully-multicoated optical system for excellent color correction and sharpness and works best at focal ratios of f/6 and above. The lens edges are blackened for maximum image contrast. The body is made of precision CNC-machined aluminum and is anodized for long life. A thumbscrew holds eyepieces in place.
