Functions
Single Cylinder Keyed Entry: A single cylinder handleset features a keyed lock on the exterior and a thumbturn on the interior to unlock the door. The exterior typically includes a thumb plate, while the interior is equipped with either a lever or knob. Single cylinder locks are most commonly used for securing residential or commercial entry doors. |
Double Cylinder Keyed Entry: A double cylinder lock is keyed on both sides, requiring a key to lock or unlock the door from inside and outside. It offers enhanced security, making it more resistant to unauthorized entry, and is often used on doors near glass to prevent tampering if the glass is broken. Double cylinder locks are ideal for high-risk areas, providing added protection and key consistency. |

Full Dummy:Full Dummy sets do not feature a latch or locking mechanism. They are typically used as pulls on the inactive side of double doors. This dummy “set” includes both the interior and exterior handles. Pair it with passage or keyed door hardware for a complete solution for your double doors. |
