Celestron StarPointer Pro Finderscope

A Premium Reflex Sight Designed by Astronomersfor Astronomers

Say goodbye to guesswork and awkward contortions while trying to line up your telescope. The Celestron StarPointer Pro is a premium, non-magnifying finderscope that redefines what a red-dot finder should be. Designed from the ground up by astronomers, it solves many of the frustrations of traditional red-dot sights with a wider viewing window, brighter daytime-capable LED, and a unique dual-circle reticle that helps you frame targets instead of hiding them.

Better Targeting Starts with Better Optics

Unlike most reflex finders that were adapted from the shooting sports world, the StarPointer Pro was engineered specifically for telescopic use. Instead of a single red dot that can block your target or disappear in bright skies, this finder projects two concentric circles onto a generous 40mm optical window. The result? You simply center your celestial target in the middle of the ringsno dot to obscure the object, no second-guessing your alignment. Its intuitive, fast, and more precise, especially when youre starhopping.

The rings can even be used as a spatial reference when navigating across constellations or hopping from star to star. For beginners and experienced observers alike, its a smarter way to get on target.

Wider Window, Brighter LED

With a full 40mm viewing aperture, the StarPointer Pro provides a much broader field of view than standard reflex sights. That means you can see more sky while aligning, and you dont need to strain to find or follow your target. The brighter LED is visible even in twilight or urban environments, and its intensity is adjustable to match your sky conditions.

Mounts on Nearly AnythingTool-Free

Whether youre using a Schmidt-Cassegrain, a small refractor, or a beginner telescope, the StarPointer Pro will likely fit right out of the box. It includes four different mounting bases for common dovetail sizes and pre-threaded mounting holes. All adjustments are tool-free, and the quick-release dovetail connection means you can attach or remove the finder in seconds with just your fingersno fumbling with screwdrivers under the stars.

Lightweight and Durable

At only 5 ounces, the StarPointer Pro adds very little weight to your setup and wont throw off your telescopes balance. Its powered by a single CR2032 battery (included), so its ready to go right out of the box.

Observing Tip:

Many star parties and outreach events take place in the early evening or under light-polluted skiesconditions where a faint red dot can easily vanish. The StarPointer Pros bright LED and wider field make it easier to align your scope on targets like the Moon or Jupiter, even before full darkness falls.

Final Thoughts

If youre tired of squinting through tiny finders, fumbling with alignment, or having your red dot vanish into the void, the Celestron StarPointer Pro is the upgrade your telescope deserves. Thoughtful, intuitive, and purpose-built for astronomy, its a clear improvement over every basic reflex sight weve tested. Once you try it, you may never want to go back.
