TeleGizmos 365 Series Cover for 3″ and 4″ f/6 and Faster Focal Ratio Refractors

Description

This sloped-top 365 Series cover uses dual layer construction to meet the most demanding 24 hour a day/7 day a week/365 day a year outside exposure coverage needs.

TeleGizmos 365 Series Cover for 3″ and 4″ f/6 and Faster Focal Ratio Refractors

Short-tube refractors are the Swiss Army knives of the amateur astronomy worldwide-field wizards, solar scope hosts, grab-and-go galaxy hunters. But even the most compact APO or achromat needs serious protection if its going to live outdoors or stay set up between sessions. The TeleGizmos 365 Series Cover is designed to do just that: offer permanent-grade, year-round protection for your fast 3″ and 4″ refractor setup.

Built for the Real World, 365 Days a Year

This is not a thin plastic throw or a glorified barbecue grill cover. The 365 Series is built from the ground up to survive sun, snow, rain, ice, heat, wind, and UVand keep doing it for years. The outer layer is a polyurethane-coated, UV-stabilized polyester thats waterproof and extremely durable. Inside, a radiant-barrier thermal liner reflects heat and light, regulating internal temperature and reducing condensation buildup around your optics and electronics.

You get multi-layer protection designed for continuous outdoor exposureperfect for backyard pads, semi-permanent piers, roll-off roof observatories, and sunrooms with daily solar sessions.

Designed Specifically for Fast 3″ and 4″ Refractors

This size is tailored for 3-inch and 4-inch refractors in the f/6 and faster rangeinstruments like the Astro-Tech AT80EDT, Tele Vue TV-85, or a 102mm f/5.5 wide-field refractor. These scopes tend to be short and squat, but when mounted on a German equatorial mount or alt-azimuth head, they still need full vertical coverageincluding the counterweight shaft or fork base.

• Fits: 3″4″ f/6 or faster refractors with dew shield, on GEM or alt-az mounts

• Height: Approx. 52″

• Circumference: 88″

• Weight: ~2.5 pounds

The open-bottom design makes it easy to slip on and off between sessions, and a drawstring at the base lets you snug it tightly around the tripod, pier, or base to block out dust, wind, and uninvited creatures.

Ultra Portable, Surprisingly Tough

Despite its compact footprint, this cover shares all the durability of its larger siblings. Its double-stitched with UV-resistant thread, built to survive gusty nights and sunny days, and rolls up small for easy travel to star parties or remote observing sites. If your fast refractor is your grab-and-go champ, this is the cover that keeps it ready for actionwithout dragging it back inside every night.

Observing Tip:

Fast refractors excel at wide-field views, and theyre often left set up for quick planetary peeks, lunar sketching, or solar viewing. But leaving a scopeeven a small oneexposed on a tripod can lead to dew on the lens or spider webs in the diagonal. A 365 Series cover adds the convenience of always-ready observing without risking your optics.
