Description
AstroZap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield for Celestron 8″ SCT NexStar 8SE & Advanced Series
Dew is a quiet thiefslowly creeping in and cutting your session short just when the views are getting good. The AstroZap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield gives your Celestron 8″ SCT, including NexStar 8SE and Advanced Series models, the dual protection it deserves: both passive light and moisture control and active dew prevention in a single, streamlined accessory.
This version features a built-in heating element embedded within the shield body, eliminating the need for a separate heater strip. Simply plug the shield into any standard RCA-type dew controller (sold separately), and it gently warms the front corrector plate to stay just ahead of the dew point. That means no more fogging, even during long imaging runs or high-humidity nights.
Crafted from lightweight yet rugged black ABS plastic, the Flexi-Heat shield installs in seconds using a full-length Velcro strip. The interior velvet lining helps suppress stray light reflections and provides additional insulation to reduce thermal shock. Designed specifically to wrap snugly around the front cell of your Celestron 8″ OTA, its an elegant upgrade that keeps you observing longer and seeing more.
