Astrozap Flexible Black Plastic for Most Celestron 8″ SCT and 7″ Mak

Description

AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield for Most Celestron 8″ SCTs & 7″ Maks Black Plastic

The Celestron 8″ Schmidt-Cassegrain and 7″ Maksutov-Cassegrains strike a perfect balance of power and portabilitybut they also share a common vulnerability: that front-mounted corrector plate is prime real estate for dew and unwanted light. The AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield is a lightweight, field-tested solution that helps you protect your optics and preserve contrastwithout adding weight or complexity to your setup.

Made from durable, flexible black plastic, this shield wraps around your optical tube and secures with a Velcro fastening strip. Inside, a black felt lining slows radiative cooling and absorbs ambient lighttwo of the biggest culprits behind fogged corrector plates and washed-out views.

This model is designed to fit most Celestron 8″ SCTs, including NexStar 8SE, Evolution, and CPC 800 models, as well as many 7″ Maksutov-Cassegrains. Whether youre observing from your backyard or heading out to a dark sky site, this shield rolls up easily for compact transport and quick deployment.
