Astrozap For Celestron 14″ EdgeHD SCT, Texture Black Finish

Description

AstroZap Aluminum Dew Shield For Celestron 14″ EdgeHD SCT (Textured Black Finish)

Premium Dew Protection for Your Largest EdgeHD Scope

The AstroZap Aluminum Dew Shield for the Celestron 14″ EdgeHD Schmidt-Cassegrain offers professional-grade protection from dew and stray light, tailored to match the exact dimensions and aesthetics of the EdgeHD optical tube. With its textured black powder-coated aluminum exterior and felt-lined interior, this shield delivers both form and function in equal measure.

This rigid, precision-machined shield is especially suited for larger OTAs like the EdgeHD 14, which benefit from non-flexing, wind-resistant dew protection. The felt lining not only helps to prevent radiative cooling of the corrector plate (reducing the likelihood of dew), but also improves image contrast by minimizing ambient glare.

Nylon thumbscrews hold the shield securely in place without damaging your telescopes finishperfect for either permanent observatory installations or mobile field setups.

Key Features:

• Made for Celestron 14″ EdgeHD SCTs: Custom fit for EdgeHD OTAs with textured black finish

• Rigid Aluminum Construction: Durable, wind-resistant, and travel-ready

• Felt-Lined Interior: Reduces dew formation and stray light reflections

• Nylon Thumbscrews: Secure, scratch-free attachmentno tools needed

• Textured Black Powder-Coated Finish: Matches EdgeHD styling and resists wear

• Made in the USA: Precision-built by AstroZap for long-term use

Compatibility:

Fits Celestron 14″ EdgeHD SCTs with textured black optical tubes. This model is designed specifically for EdgeHD scopes and may not be compatible with non-EdgeHD 14″ SCTs due to cell diameter differences.

Observing Tip:

Large-aperture SCTs like the 14″ EdgeHD are particularly vulnerable to dew because of their large corrector plates and longer cooldown times. A rigid dew shield not only delays dew but also blocks disruptive side lightespecially helpful during outreach events or when imaging near artificial light sources.
