Description

AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield for Celestron C5 & Meade ETX-125 Black Plastic

Small scopes like the Celestron C5 and Meade ETX-125 are grab-and-go legendscompact, sharp, and surprisingly powerful. But even these travel-friendly instruments arent immune to the dew menace. The AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield is a lightweight, durable solution that gives your optics a critical layer of protection while also improving image contrast under less-than-perfect skies.

Constructed from tough yet flexible black plastic, this dew shield wraps easily around the front of your OTA and secures firmly with a Velcro closure. Inside, a felt-lined interior helps reduce radiative cooling of the corrector plate and absorbs stray lighttwo key ingredients for sharper, longer-lasting views.

Designed to fit both the Celestron 5″ SCT (C5) and the Meade ETX-125 Maksutov-Cassegrain, this shield gives you peace of mind when you’re observing under humid or light-polluted conditionswhether you’re in your backyard, on a hike, or at an outreach event.

Features:

• Fits both Celestron C5 (5″ SCT) and Meade ETX-125 Maksutov-Cassegrain scopes

• Made from flexible black plastic for lightweight, rugged performance

• Felt-lined interior blocks stray light and helps prevent dew

• Velcro wrap closure for secure, tool-free installation

• Rolls up for compact storage and transport

• Improves visual contrast and helps extend observing time

Observing Tip:

Compact scopes like the C5 and ETX-125 cool down quickly, which can lead to faster dew formation on the front optics. A flexible dew shield is a simple but essential upgrade that adds noticeable contrast and significantly extends your observing window.
